A Meal That Brought Smiles
In many of the communities we visit, hunger is a daily struggle. Children wake up with empty stomachs and go to bed without eating. When our team from Heart of Tabitha Ministry arrived with food, the air was filled with excitement and joy. We cooked warm meals and gathered the children together under a tree to share a moment of love and care.
As we served plates of rice, beans, and porridge, the smiles on their faces told a story that words could not. Some children could not wait to eat; others quietly prayed before taking their first bite. One little boy said, “This is the first time I have eaten food this good.” That moment touched all of us deeply.
By the end of the day, laughter filled the place. The children ran and played happily, full of energy and hope. We realized that food is more than a meal — it is love, strength, and a sign that someone cares. Every plate served reminded us that when we feed a child, we are feeding hope itself.
